At the end of a busy autumn term Key stage two enjoyed a trip to the pantomime at Malvern theatres to see Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. Christmas calendars, cards and party hats were made and Father Christmas visited on the final day followed by an entertainer for all to enjoy.
Topic work was completed on the Anglo-Saxons and the children finished studying the story of Beowulf and wrote their own play scripts. Maths assessment showed the progress made in understanding and reasoning about place value and addition and subtraction with the children beginning a focus on multiplication and division.
In the spring term the children are looking forward to studying 'Kensuke's Kingdom' by Michael Morpurgo and completing some persuasive writing. Young voices (for those in the choir) is in January in Birmingham with swimming starting again for Years 5 and 3
