Happy New Year!
I hope everyone enjoyed a magical family Christmas. The autumn term ended with great excitement at the Christmas party and the entertainer was great.
Spring term begins with swimming on Mondays for Year 5’s as well as cross country in teams too.
Our bi-annual school Eisteddfod is launched with a range of activities to take part in, house choir singing, poetry recital, cake baking, dancing and story writing before the gala celebration in school on Wednesday 25th March at 6pm.
There is a maths day on Thursday 30th January for parents to come in and take part in a maths lesson and work with their child.
The topics for the spring term are Fair Trade and The Mayan Civilisation and there is a planned trip to Cadbury’s World, Birmingham on Thursday 19th March to look forward to.
English continues to use the book ‘The Nowhere Emporium’ to create an adventure story to be written by the children.
There will also be a special celebration of the country Bulgaria in school on Friday 24th January when children and adults get to learn about some of the cultures and sample some of the traditional food.
Lots to look forward in what is sure to be a busy and enjoyable term for learning…
