School News

We have had a positive start to the new Autumn term and all of our children have settled back into the routine of school. We are especially proud of our reception children who are so settled and happy.

At the start of term we held elections for our new Pupil Parliament and the whole school voted on who they would like to represent them. The details of our Pupil Parliament 2019-2020 can be found on the Pupil Parliamnet tab of our website.

We have had some visits from members of our emergency services who spoke to the children about their important roles within our community, they also brought their emergency vehicles with them, how exciting!

We celebrated Harvest at church and were overwhelmed by the generosity of our families. Your contributions will go towards helping the wonderful work of Caring hands in the Vale. We plan to take the Charity ministers to visit Diane at Caring Hands later this month so that we can see how our gifts are used. Look out for details of our visit on the weekly newsletter.

The PTA have organised discos for KS1 and KS2 last week. It was lovely to see all the children having so much fun, their dancing skills were impressive. Children from our previous year five class returned for the KS2 disco - it was good to catch up with them and to hear lovely stories about their new schools and how uch they are enjoying ther new challenges..

We have all been enjoying music lessons in our new Preedy Music Room this term and we look forward to showcasing some of that work at our concert in December.

Our new welly shed is almost full of wellies and has made getting ready for Forest School so much easier - our cloakrooms look neater too.

The teachers have also been busy, working hard at school, teaching their lessons but also attending courses to ensure that they, like you, are working towards being the best version of themselves. We never stop learning.
